Last weekend a skiing competition named after Suliko Khabeishvili for amateurs at or over the age of 40 was held in Gudauri.
The competition was held among men and women in the category of "slalom-giant". 45-year-old Zurab Rukhadze took first place. Second place went to 40-year-old Nika Siprashvili and third place went to 57-year-old acting coach Kote Gaabrichidze.
An official of the Goethe Institute in Georgia Natiya Mikeladze won first place in the women's competition. Second place went to Nana Jabadari, and in third place was the daughter of Suliko Khabeishvili - Eliso Khabeishvili.
The Hotel Marco Polo Gudauri organized the competition and the furniture company Valentini was a main sponsor. The competition dedicated to the late founder of the resort Gudauri, Soliko Khabeishvili, has been held since 1996.
